The C2C Festival kicks off in less than a month with the annual CMA Songwriters shows at the Indigo on Thursday March 8th.
Appearing this year are Brett James, Natalie Hemby, Nicolle Galyon, Kip Moore and Luke Combs. We don’t need to say much about the latter two artists, excitement levels are already high for seeing them in such a small, intimate setting, but we thought you might like to listen to some of the awesome songs written by the other three songwriters.
Brett James has written over 450 recorded songs totalling sales of over 110 million! He was named ASCAP’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ in 2006 and again in 2010 and Music Row Magazine’s ‘Songwriter of the Year’ in 2015.
Natalie Hemby, who released her own album, ‘Puxico’ last year, has been writing hit songs for the likes of Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town for years now. Her work on Miranda Lambert’s ‘Automatic’ earned her a Grammy nomination in 2015.
Nicolle Galyon is a relatively new name on the scene but one who has racked up a fair few writing credits in the past few years. She has been writing in Nashville since 2007 and appeared on season two of The Voice. She also worked on Miranda’s ‘Automatic’ and even produced RaeLynn’s 2017 album, ‘Wild Horse’.
Here’s a small sample of what great songs have been written by the three writers.
